Feedings at the chimpanzees can be observed daily at 10:30, 12:30, 15:00, and 17:00 (in winter at 16:00). Dogs are only allowed on a leash.

Home to Germany’s largest chimpanzee group, the zoo offers a truly special experience. More than 30 chimpanzees live here and can be observed in both indoor and outdoor enclosures. Watch their fascinating social lives up close! Don’t miss the daily chimpanzee feeding presentations at 10:30, 12:30, 15:00, and 17:00 (winter: 16:00). A highlight for visitors of all ages. Beyond chimpanzees, the zoo is home to a variety of other primate species, as well as many exotic and colorful birds in the walk-through aviaries. Keep an eye out for the peacocks, they love to surprise guests!

A favorite for younger visitors is the petting zoo, where animals can be gently stroked and fed. Animal's feed is available at the ticket office for just €1 and may be used in designated areas. For the safety and well-being of the animals, food brought from outside is not permitted.

Opening hours: Summer: 10:00 – 18:00 & Winter: 10:00 – 16:00 (Please note: during summer, guests are kindly asked to leave the zoo by 19:00).
